ButterflyMX Intercom Redesign 2020

I began working for ButterflyMX in 2018. As the only in-house industrial designer, my responsibilities were vast. I was tasked with designing three new products that would launch in Q4 2020. My goal as the designer was to create a cohesive product ecosystem with this new product launch. The product I’ve highlighted here is the latest version of their flagship product, the smart-intercom.

My goals in this redesign project began with an assessment of the previous version. My design goals were augmented by user-feedback we’ve received directly from our clients (property managers), as well as end-users (residents).

I not only designed the intercom, but also created 3D renders for marketing, dimensioned orthographic drawings, installation guides, wiring diagrams, screenprint design specs for the logo decal, and much more.
